Vocal masterclass by Adele Wilding, Cecile Larochelle and Darlene Cooper Ketchum with Bill Sample (piano).

Three prominent Vancouver jazz vocalists - educators, Darlene Cooper Ketchum, Cecile La Rochelle and Adele M. Wilding, will be leading a weekend masterclass from Saturday, February 29 (2-8 PM) to Sunday, March 1 (7 - 9 PM). The three masterclass leaders will be coaching singers through the following sessions: vocal jazz techniques, making a melody your own, MIX Voice and modal improvisation. Our special focus will be working with an accompanist, led by masterclass pianist Bill Sample, one of Canada's finest pianists/ composers/arrangers/musical directors.

Saturday will be spent in session with the masterclass leaders and accompanist. The weekend will conclude with a concert on the Sunday evening, featuring the participants, masterclass leaders and accompanist.
