Darlene Ketchum (vocals) – Darlene’s warm and gutsy vocals belt out her fresh arrangements of soul/R&B/jazz/gospel standards plus some of her original tunes. Darlene was one of 100 featured artists in the We Make Stuff book published in 2012 and released her first solo CD, Soul Connections (Extended Edition), in October 2014.  Two of Darlene's songs were nominated for awards. “Joy, Joy to the World” was a finalist in the 2014 Word Guild award for Best Lyrics and her song “I Will Not Be Shaken” was nominated for 2014 Gospel Music Association of Canada-Covenant Award for Urban Song of the Year.In addition to being a solo performer, Darlene is the chorale director of the Marcus Mosely Chorale in Vancouver where she works alongside Marcus Mosely (of the Sojourners) and Bill Sample and she teaches contemporary music theory, song writing, charting and arranging at two colleges.

Kelvin Ketchum (keys) – been playing the piano since he was 3 years old. A versatile player as he is both a great sight reader and has the ability to play by ear, he plays a variety of styles solo or as an accompanist. He also sings in the Vancouver Bach Choir, Gloria Dei Choir, and he plays tuba in the Vancouver Concert Band… he is also Darlene’s husband.

Gerry Teichrob (bass) – professional music teacher (teaches bass) and musician. He and Tyler (drummer) are also in Quintessential Jazz – an active jazz quartet that play for various events in the Vancouver area.

Tyler Friesen (drums) – comes from a family of musicians and started playing drums in church when he was 10 years old. Tyler brings a deep sense of time and groove as well as an attention to song-form and musicality that really sets him apart as a drummer. He is also a member of Quintessential Jazz. With a little funk on the side and some sweet vocalizing this band will move your toes and touch your souls.Check out this Oliver Community Arts Council review.
